Not Much New

September 11th, 2008 by PureRok

It’s been a while since my last write. Not much to write here. I deleted most of the old posts since I didn’t feel they were needed anymore. I’ve been playing some games lately; I’ll just list them.

  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Spore
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
  • Ninety Nine Nights (N3)

That’s pretty much it.

I bought Super Mario RPG off of the Virtual Console since I used to play the game a lot when I was a kid; it’s still the same, but it’s nice to have. Spore is really good. I haven’t gotten to “the end” yet, but hopefully I will before the month is out. I haven’t played Crisis Core in a little while, but it’s pretty fun. Ninja Gaiden Black is… well, Ninja Gaiden.

N3 is an all right game. The only thing saving this game from me never playing it again is the fact that I really love games in it’s genre. The difficulty on that game is all over the place (mostly ‘cheap’ difficulty) and the voice acting is horrible.

That’s all I really have to say.

GRID

June 11th, 2008 by PureRok

Well, I’ve been playing quite a bit of this racing game called GRID lately. It’s pretty nice to get a racing game that isn’t a huge arcade game, but also isn’t so “realistic” that it becomes fake. It has a nice medium that seems actually more realistic for cars. Of course, I’ve never driven a car at 160mph or higher, so those super-realistic race games could be true (80mph would be the fastest I’ve gone, and that’s on a straight highway.).

So I present you with two gameplay videos that I recorded. Please note that I don’t have the graphical settings maxed (Actually, I haven’t been into the options screen once.), so things most probably could look better. I named my team Returners in homage to the rebel group of the same name in Final Fantasy VI (6).
